This site serves two purposes.
First, it is a common repository for documents of general interest to the extended family and friends of Dorothy and Calvin Thielman of Montreat, NC. Second, and more importantly, it seeks to give testimony to God’s grace demonstrated across several generations of people you may know. To be clear, this is not about a great man, marriage, or family. This is about a great God who knows us and loves us. He reaches across sin, addictions, self-deciet, infirmity, and weakness, and he loves us and bids us to come to himself. The central truth that animates the stories told here is that "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
So, in the spirit of Psalm 145:4, we commend to the next generation the merciful works of God in the life of Calvin Thielman.
